When the stylishly dissipated Bauhaus corpse was finally pronounced undead and re-emerged from its self-imposed sarcophagus in 1998 it had been entirely silent for 15 long years. Yet subsequent to this long-awaited reanimation, there was some doubt as to whether the world would actually care. After all, Bauhaus enjoyed somewhat limited commercial success during their four-year tenure as the world's most high cheek-boned quartet, and their on-going critical kudos was somewhat limited.
