The very first time I heard my very first song by Honeymoon Suite, I stood up and took notice. The year was 1984, the radio station was WAPP back in New York, and the song was "New Girl Now." I was majorly impressed. (That was right after I had said, "Honeymoon WHO?") After all, the song is a unique combination of British-sounding pop, Canadian hard rock, and American new wave. This was a band that proudly wore all of its influences on its sleeve!Just as I was getting into this song, I saw the incredible video for the band's next single "Burning In Love." I was again very impressed, asmore… I really liked the song while noticed that it did not sound anything like the previous song.Well, to make a long story short, I eventually purchased this CD (as well as the follow-up "The Big Prize") and I must day that Honeymoon Suite, after all these years, still rocks, still rolls, and is still a very unique band in the history of rock 'n' roll. If you have heard just "New Girl Now" and are wondering whether or not to purchase this CD, do yourself a favor and buy it!
