Bought this album about a year ago and only really knew "Gaye" from my distant youth. I know Clifford T Ward wrote quite a few songs for Cliff Richard in the early 70's - but don't be put off by that ! This included "When two worlds collide" unfortunately not on this album. I also heard "Homethoughts from abroad" when driving / commuting to work one morning listening to the radio - I almost had to stiffle the tears. Clifford T Ward has a way of simplifying complex emotions into everyday situations, but somehow the power and depth of his feelings always permeate through the songs. My daughter (more…
