Description
Toots takes centre stage for most of this album, despite the long list of top Brazilian artists on the cover, and very good he is. Milton Nascimento and Ivan Lins make little more than token appearances. Joao Bosco and Gilberto Gil get a bit more prominence, but neither are in top form here. If you want to hear Brazilian stars, a better album is the Carlos Lyra songbook which has these two, Caetano Veloso and many others. But if you like Brazilian music and Toots's solos this is a fine companion to his album with Elis Regina.
