Description
Iron and Wine here have made a leap from one guy recording into a cheap 4-track into a multi-layered studio album in 2 LPs, an EP and a collaboration with Calexico. While I love the lo-fi fuzziness of Creek Drank the Cradle, Woman King adds layers to Sam Beam's signature sound without compromising it. Additional instrumentation highlight rather than hide the strengths of the earlier releases. He has improved with each release, someday he will rule a small planet with his homespun music. Let me just state for the record I liked you before your reign, Master.
