I've always loved Grace's music. During the early 80s she hooked up with the great rhythm section of Sly and Robbie, and made her trilogy of superb Island albums: "Warm Leatherette", "Nightclubbing", and "Living My life". They were the epitome of chic mainstream funk, and most of them are represented on this double release. There's no pretense with this stuff: Grace found a groove and stuck with it, but these recordings were very well made and still sound good.
