Joshua Redman has made quite a few different styles of albums in his career and played as a sideman in many - an experience which probably enhanced the contribution that other musicians were allowed to bring to this record. Some of the brightest jazz musicians contribute to make just about every song a very good one. It is unusual to buy an album where all songs are decent. Worth mentioning the strength of the contributors - Joe Lovano, Ali Jackson, Chris Cheek, Larry Granadier, Erick Harland, Christian McBride, Brian Blade, Reuben Rogers - after a first run through, it is hard to imagine anymore…
