Fairport Convention - A Lasting Spirit: the Collection (2005) Retail CD
Description
I'm not a fan of the later Fairport Convention, but I love the stuff they did with Sandy Denny and (to a lesser extent) Richard Thompson; so I'm well used to buying Fairport CDs for just one or two tracks. But I am so sick of the careless sloppiness with which their music is documented (a prime example being the dreadful booklet in the 'Fairport Unconventional' box). This isn't quite so bad, but the early tracks on this set have no recording dates or personnel details listed at all...unforgiveable!
