This recently released double CD covers the career of often maligned Who guitarist and songwriter Pete Townshend as a solo performer. It was always said that John Lennon wore his heart on his sleeve but Pete Townshend runs him very close. Songs such as "Secondhand Love" about his rejection of his Mother after she'd been with her lover, "The Sea Refuses No River" about heroin addiction which he has knowledge of, "Slit Skirts" about his failed marriage and "Now And Then" which is a beautifully constructed song with a superb production are little masterpieces.
