The three and a half long year wait for Alejandro Sanz's album since MAS (Released back in 1997) was well worth it. It would have been very difficult for Alejandro to make an album as good as MAS because MAS was an exceptional and extraordinary piece of poetry music and beautiful heartfelt vocals intertwined, MAS was quite simply 10 magical songs of pain, emotion and songwriting unmatched by any album and by any artist in the world, having said that his latest offering from Alejandro EL ALMA AL AIRE is still a fantastic album as all who know of him had expected from this uniquely talented Spanishmore… singer. The album consists of 10 songs all of which will undoubtedly raise emotions in the listener. I cant stress enough how wondreful the lyrics in his songs are "Quisera ser el aire que escapa de tu risa Quisera ser la sal para escocerte en tus heridas" and "Yo quiero el aire que tiene tu alma yo quiero el aire que vive en ti" are but a few, you really need to have a good understanding of the Spainsh language to fully appreciate this genius work of musical art. If your going to buy an Alejandro sanz album for the first time I would recommend MAS and if you can, try and get a hold of as many of this artists previous and future releases.
