Before I bought this, I had no idea what God Dethroned sounded like, but I thought I'd give this one a try. And Holy Crap, I wasn't disappointed! This album is heavy, brutal and interestingly, very catchy. Make no mistake, this is real black metal. This takes what Venom & Celtic Frost started in the early 80's and builds on it, adding elements that few other bands would ever think of. The lyrics are extremely well written, sounding like something taken right out of an H.P. Lovecraft story. Each song sounds different than the one before it.
