Of course they have listened to the early Van Der Graaf Generator and Peter Hammill records. The piano and the voice (or voices) are echoes of the abstract rock experiences of both that group and its leader in a line we might call post-prog (not to be mixed with neo-prog!). Several bands, namely in the States, are restoring the cosmic and existencialist views of early 70's music. An angular attack in the instruments, a raw vocal, and a pounding rythmic section with a good work in the mixture desk.
