Description
This album compares favourably with 'Strange Cargo 3' & 'Hinterland'. 'Strange Cargo (1)' and 'Pieces in a Modern Style' are much simpler, with less human voice and fewer layers. The clickable track samples on this page give a good idea of the chilled energy this album exudes. Some ambient music disappoints by being bland - like elevator music. Orbit avoids this using a wide range of sounds - deep bass and tinkling bells, crisp acoustic guitar and strange ethnic instruments. This is a sound track to a movie I'd love to see.
