The usual thing written about Ahmad Jamal is that Miles Davis greatly admired his musicianship and playing, and after one listen to this you'll hear for yourself. Excellently recorded, brilliant trio date from 1970 and the version of Oliver Nelson's "Stolen Moments" is sublime. Jamal has a truly unique voice and the music has great dynamism. No empty-headed jazz runs here, just great music. A great, chill-out, jazz masterpiece. Essential.
