Being a fan of Black/Symphonic metal, I picked up this CD following recommendations that they were similar to Tristania. I spent weeks trying to get into this album, I really wanted to like it. But no, this really doesn't cut the mustard.Its got the electric violins, heavy guitars, extreme and melodic vocals, so whats not to like? The most obvious thing is the singing. I have noticed that many fans of this genre HATE male growls, but I am a fan of Tristania, Opeth et al so I know the good growls from the bad. These are awful, not a hint of power or emotion to them.
