Looking like a refugee from an Ozric Tentacles gig whilst speaking in the worst American accent ever on live telly isn't a good idea, when your whole schtick is based on "oh, isn't she sweet", Tesco shoppers.

It's also not a good idea to publicly rubbish your first two albums when its those self same people who would have been buying your new one. Psychobabble pronouncements describing your new albummore… as "truly me. That's why I'm calling it Introducing Joss Stone. These are my words, and this is who I am as an artist" won't help either. Which translates as "it's teenage tantrum time and I'll start off my new single with some dude asking how many times a day I need lovin'."

Which is why it's all the more peculiar that this lead off single sounds exactly like her earlier material, only not as good. Where's the cutting edge wigga collabaorations with Lauryn Hill, Novel, and Common? Perhaps the real indicator is the non album b-side 'My God', which has an array of three year old hip hop beats and no tune.

There's no denying that Joss Stone has a spectacular voice, but it's wasted on substandard songs like these. It's a new world and we already have Amy Winehouse taking care of the "ooh, she's trouble" market and Lady Sovereign has got the wigga market. So cut out the roll ups and get some decent tunes together.
