To start, this song is really really cool. 'Let's Get it Started' has a good solid beat running through it that instantly makes you want to dance along to and bop your head. The rap verses are accompanied by a simple chourus that even the most lyrically-challenged person could sing along to. 'Let's Get it Started' is a great follow on to the Black Eyed Pea's other singles, Shut Up amd Hey Mama, and it cannot be faulted if this is the type of music you like. Despite all this praise, however, this song might not be everyone's taste, as the simple chorus, which is actually just a repition ofmore… the line, "Let's get it started in here", could easily get on people's nerves. Although, for what it lacks in imaginative lyrics, 'Let's Get it Started' stylishly makes up in cool, enticing beats and a fast paced rhythm that pulls you in, whether you like it or not!
