Description
In L.A. liefern sich verfeindete Jugendbanden blutige Straßenschlachten. Es geht um Macht und Drogen. Mittendrin: der erfahrene Polizist Hodges (Robert Duvall), Mitglied einer Spezialeinheit zur Verbrechensbekämpfung. Hodges genießt den Respekt der Banden. Das ändert sich, als ihm der gewaltbereite, aufbrausende junge Cop McGavin (Sean Penn) zur Seite gestellt wird. Mit seiner unbändigen Brutalität schafft er sich schnell Feinde im Ghetto.
