I have just turned off my CD player after coming back from HMV with Blood Mountain.
And...I dont know what to think 2bh. To my ears it is a very prog-metal album, and like much prog, it is very confusing. With a mish-mash of insane time changes and wierd shouty-sung twin vocals, this album is not for the faint hearted.
After Metal Hammer gave it album of the year, I was expecting a truly fantastic album, with lots of hooks to get you singing/screaming along by the end of the track. Very much not so, and I feel like i'm missing something that everyone else is hearing.
