Description
This is a truely fantastic album. Unlike Fleshwounds, Skin has returned to a more rocking style (without it being of the same genre as Skunk Anansie). The album has spawned two singles so far: Alone In My Room and Just Let The Sun. The former is a brief punk-rock growl, the latter, a heavy, thudding track which sees Skin sounding dark yet strangely euphoric. The album does have its softer moments. The beautiful 'Purple' is bitter twinged with melancholy, yet driven on with a marching beat; the chorus lyrics: 'She won't go where I, I would go for you, I cursed my heartmore…
