The first track I heard from Ana Popovic was aired on the Paul Jones R&B show, and I was immediately struck by the unique and outstanding quality of her guitar work. Why had I not heard of her before? So I bought the album.
'Comfort to the Soul' was a welcome revelation; here is a young woman to be ranked with Santana, Mark Knopfler and Gary Moore for natural guitar brilliance and an immediately memorable individual style.
