Description
In the early to mid-1980s there arose in Britain an earnest group of new prog-rock bands populated by musicians who had spent their teenage years listening to The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway. They made albums with enigmatic-sounding titles packed with epic 20-minute songs. Marillion were far and away the most commercially successful, but others flourished to some degree in their wake: Pallas, Twelfth Night and IQ to name but three. Tales from the Lush Attic, IQ's debut from 1983 (exactly the same vintage as Script for a Jester's Tear), wears its Genesis influences even more openly than Marillionmore…
