After the Undertones excellent self-titled debut album I craved more high-energy punk-pop so I got 'Hypnotised'. First of all I have to state that there are only 18 tracks on this album, You've got my number (why don't you use it) and Let's talk about girls aren’t on this album but they are on the first album (which you should own anyway). This album has some cracking tracks, 'Hard Luck' is superb and in my view the best song of the lot. 'My Perfect Cousin' is fun ("He thinks that I’m a cabbage, because I hate University Challenge") and 'What’s with Terry' has one line that mademore… me laugh out loud. Other tracks that stand out for are 'See that Girl', 'The Way Girls Talk', 'Whizz Kids' and 'Girls That Don't Talk'. The prize for most catchy tune has to go to 'Hypnotised' but it's no 'Top Twenty' if you know what I mean.Overall this album is gives you exactly what you want, more Undertones, but if you don't own a Undertones album I wouldn't start here. I wouldn't even buy the best of, I would buy the first album (it has some superb tracks on it that you won't find on the best of) and then buy this if you like what you hear.
