Considering this is his last ever album (but I hope it isn't) it's a damn good effort! Not only that but he definately knows how to work people. His collaborations have seemed to reach a whole new level, I've always thought that jayz had something that no other hiphop artist had and this final album is the epitome of retro style urban music and to be honest it is clearly deserving of a whole new genre of its own. To pick a favourite track of this cd would almost be impossible, when I started to think of which one it would be I started with lucifer; with it's wicked mix and blend of classic Jayzmore… hooks and the melodic background set the tune off but then I was inclined to think no beacuse almost all of the tracks have something of their own that sets this album apart from all the rest. Being as it is his last, everyone knew Jayz would come out with something different and this album really reflects his character and shows the way he has branched out from being a young starting rapper into a fully fledged entrepreneur of the hiphop world. You really do have to listen to this album on repeat, no jokes. Even the title of the album gives it that extra edge 'black'...the colour thats always here nothing can ever replace black. Take for example in fashion world where he has also been devloping, every colour has had it's turn at being the 'new' black but nothing ever beats it: its a classic and so is this cd. And Jayz one thing to say, seriously, can we get an Encore?!
