The name might suggest American frat-boy japery, but the Sofa Surfers offer nothing of the sort. Shut away in a converted factory deep in the industrialised heartland of Vienna, the Sofa Surfers make music that owes nothing to music's ugly present, and everything to the purity of experimental music past: dub reggae, improvised jazz and Krautrock.
