Description

Sodom always got a bit of a rough ride from the Metal press in this country, and that's a shame, because they were (and in fact are to this day) absolutely ace. All right, they were never the most over-technical of bands, but that never stopped them from writing some totally cracking head-banging Thrash Metal anthems. With Tom Angelripper's (nice name, by the way) charismatic if heavily accented voice barking out lyrics decrying the futility of war, with the straightforward but highly effective riffs backing him up, the German trio were (and still are) as good as anyone at getting your head bangingmore…, and this album is no different. With such standards as Jesus Screamer and the magnificently titled Tribute To Moby Dick, it's a travesty that Sodom never scaled the heights that even their fellow countrymen Destruction and Kreator managed. This album, along with any of their others to be honest, show how consistently excellent Sodom were and are. Fans of true metal can't afford to be without this.
