Lizz Wright has a beautiful warm voice that really grabs you. I have seen her perform live and she is a really tremendous singer, a natural talent.Perhaps some of the reviewers here have not listened to the entire album as for me the best songs are the 4 at the end, and paricularly Blue Rose which is just fantastic in all its simplicity. In my opinion Lizz is at her best when she sings soul more so than in the jazzy genre. Perhaps that is why some of the die-hard jazz fans are less enthusiastic.
