The first album from the current "CMA Female Vocalist" quite rightly too 'cause she is one of the best singers in the world & the only reason not everyone knows her is because she sings country but she has an amazing voice & would succeed in any genre.This maybe her first but it didn't make her a household name in the US that came later with other albums. But there are a few gems on this album that would please a country purist but also those who like contemporary country.1) "The Time Has Come": An uptempo song that is the type of uptempo song that Martina has made her own it is not the stylemore… of a traditional country song & is good way to start off the album.2) "That's Me": My personal favourite a ballad in that is similar too Reba McEntire & Faith Hill's early ballads it has quite sad lyrics about a woman sitting in a church watching her ex getting married.3) "True Blue Fool": A more traditional country song that sounds like LeAnn Rimes' "Blue" but more uptempo.4) "Losing You Feels Good": Another traditional country sounding song but a ballad this time.5) "Walk That Line": A honky tonk song that gets your feet moving one of the better uptempo song.6) "Cheap Whiskey": This is the type of song that country music is famed for it is a ballad about divorce & alcohol abuse but it has a great melody & her vocals are superb.7) "I Can't Sleep": A nice uptempo song.8) "A Woman Knows": Another ballad about a woman who knows her man is cheating but has no evidence.9) "The Rope": The weakest song on the album.10) "When You Are Old": A piano ballad written by Gretchen Peters which is the perfect way to close out this album.This may not be her best album but there are some good songs on it that show her potential & that she can only get better. Every Martina fan should have this album & those of you who like good country music this would do no harm to your cd collection.
