Little Axe - Slow Fuse (1996) Retail CD
Description
Dragged this out of storage to listen to again recently. I bought this when it was released so I got the bonus disc with remixes and unreleased tracks. It follows on nicely from 'The Wolf That House Built' with a mix of blues and dub, crisply produced with lots of space to groove among. The music uses a lot of sampling but it's all brought together to feel comfortable with its' mixture of influences. Haven't heard any subsequent Little Axe material but from their first two albums there's certainly plenty to rekindle my interest in Little Axe to venture further.
