Description

Well from the beginning it is obvious that Amnesia of the Wildoerian Apocalypse is an opening to a special kind of album. As soon as the assault of Secondary Effects opens you would be forgiven for thinking this is just more standard Gothenburg Thrash. No however as the next few tracks roll by there are enough time and ryhthm changes to throw your head into a spin. Once you get to the title track track it is clear Darkane have switched up three gears. Andreas Sydow is as strong as ever, belting out choruses Devin Townsend stylee. The more complex ryhthms driven by Peter Wileoders drums aremore… good enough to stand up to even Destroy Erase Improve and Chaosphere and they surpass Meshuggah's latest efforts, (Take note boys). Make no mistake this is THRASH as it is meant to be, it destroys the NWOAHM which is becoming radio friendly. Any doubters? More than two speeds, off-beats, two rythmic layers, what else do you want? Listen to the attack of Decadent Messiah and while you're reeling from that become entangled in some of the finest solo playing in recent years for the end track, The Creation Insane, just as you become soaked in its majesty.............it stops!!!!!!!!!!!!
