Some of Bette's fans don't like this album because it is a little different. It is made up mostly of ballads, but it begins with the bouncy I known this town, a song by Cheryl Wheeler that she wrote and recorded for her Circles and arrows album. The final song is a cover of I believe in you, which was very successful for Don Williams.In between these two songs, Bette sings a series of love songs, all new at the time except As dreams go by, for which the common theme is that Bette is in love with her man.
