Although by no means perfect, this live recording of a Moody Blues performance with an orchestra is a joy to listen to. The mix of rock band with the orchestra is something which the Moodies pioneered with their 1967 album "Days of Future Passed", and to attempt to do this live was a brave undertaking. There is a variety of older and newer material, some great flashes of Justin Hayward's guitar work, and the band gel together well throughout. Yes, there are some mistakes - but this is LIVE, and all the better for it. An excellent offering from an excellent band who continue to stand the testmore…
