For me the Sweet were always the architypal Glam Rock band.They were obviously Glam but they were most definitely Rock. OK they had a few patchy releases & this disc covers the most part of their career - from the bubblegum rock of 'Little Willy' & 'Co-co' (Still bleeding good pop songs!) through the Chinn/Chapman era Glam classics 'Blockbuster' & 'Ballroom Blitz' to the majesty of the self penned masterpieces 'Action' & 'Fox on the run'. My personal favourite single 'Hellraiser' is here too & the compilers even managed to squeeze in the b-side from that 1973 release - the hard & heavy 'Burningmore…'. If you like this album then i urge you to try the re-issued copies of their original LP's but don't expect to recognise many of the tracks - few of their singles made it on to their albums. Just genuine Rock leaning more toward Zepp & Purple than Mud & Rubettes. Listen & enjoy
