This is a good album, and will make a worthwhile adition to many CD collections. The song styles are almost timeless, mixing some hard rock and '70s glam with Moogs, organs and modern synths to create a thrumming, driving sound, which is topped off by clever lyrics and the sweetest vocals of any male lead singer anywhere.Everyone will recognise the intro to "In The Meantime", as it was borrowed for the One 2 One telephone adverts (sounds like a telephone ringing). The tracks are all very listenable, but the ones written by the lead singer/bassist are musically the strongest. Only "Spacehog" andmore… "Space Is The Place" were written by the singer's brother, who plays rhythm guitar in the band, and they are slightly more raucous and less refined. Watch out for the 8 minute hidden track on the end of the CD (...what can only be described as a kind of satanic moo-ing!)!Worth getting, even if it is slightly weaker than "The Chinese Album", and what I have heard of the forthcoming "The Hogyssey" at the time of writing. I bought the CD on the strength of "In The Meantime" alone, and it comes highly recommended.A very good band who deserve more sales and airplay than they get.
