If you didn't know that the name "Les Paul" was in the title of this CD you wouldn't have a clue to what the common thread is supposed to be. Mostly vocals of songs that seem to have nothing whatsoever to do with the great man. I'd have been delighted to hear people playing their own stuff with some sort of a Les Paul "twist" just as I'd have been glad to hear Les' numbers played by these performers using their own styles ... as would be expected on any kind of a tribute record. What a dog's breakfast this turned out to be with two possible exceptions: Sam Cooke re-worked first with the backingmore…
