Traci Lords is maybe more famous in her native America where she caused a national and maybe even international media frenzy when it was found out that she, the number one porn queen in the country was in fact an underage teenage runaway. Since the scandal, some 10 years even before this album was made, Traci Lords has embarked on an acting career which has seen her star in such films and Blade, John Waters Cry-Baby and the Tommyknockers. In 1995 she recorded this album which includes two soundtrack pieces, firstly 'Control' which originally appeared in it's instrumental form in the film 'Mortalmore… Combat' and secondly 'Fallen Angel' from the film 'Virtuosity'. The two aforementioned tracks being the highlights of this techno outing. Most of the tracks tend to show off the skills of the producers rather than the vocal attributes Ms Lords but nethertheless Traci's limited range is made up for with her personality which really comes off in her delivery. Particular highlights from the remainder of the tracks include the dark euro-pop ditty 'Outlaw Lover' and the tribal house influenced 'Good-N-Evil'. The final track 'Okey Dokey' is rather fun too, in it's own bizarre way. Watch out for the haunting and disturbing 'Fathers Field' which would make any tough cookie decidedly uncomfortable. It's strange that Traci's biggest hit 'Little Baby Nothing' with the Manic Street Preachers in omitted.
