Having already bought "39 minutes of bliss" and "Paper Tigers", I had major expectations for this album - especially as "Paper Tigers" is one of my most favourite albums in an ever growing collection of CD's and Vinyl (I am in my mid 40's, so have been collecting for over 30 years).

Whilst "39 minutes" was a "raw" album, taken as it was from a collection of the best of the Caesars previous stuff, "Paper Tigers" for me at least was very polished - knocking out in fast order a production line of very enjoyable music produced in a manner as if the band were playing live.

Listening to "Strawberrymore… Weed" however, the band do not live up their previous album. To me, it seems as if instead of discarding the not-so-good material in order to produce a quality CD, they have thrown in the lot in order to pad out a double CD, where you see the band both producing quality tracks like Boo Boo Goo Goo, Crystal, and No Tomorrow (the latter is one of their best ever compositions in my view), whilst also adding a lot of raw material as filler. Having said that, it is not a bad album, it's just that I can listen to "Paper Tigers" and enjoy every single track - but with this offering, I feel like skipping the less enjoyable stuff and jumping to the more favoured material.
