This is a fairly random-looking album, clearly, and I'd never heard of it before stumbling across it second-hand in London. However it's actually a quite decent mini-best-of / introduction to the early stuff, and as such, if you've not got Foxtrot, Nursery Cryme or Selling England (shame on you!) then this is worth having, containing some of the stand-out tracks from those recordings:1. I Know What I Like (In Your Wardrobe) - from 'Selling England...'2. Harold The Barrel - Nursery Cryme3. Harlequin - Nursery Cryme4. Watcher of the Skies - Foxtrot5. The Fountain of Salmacis - Nursery Cryme6. Suppermore…'s Ready - FoxtrotA couple of odd choices there - if it were up to me I'd exchange a track or two - and they're all original album versions. The liner notes aren't worth the price, so if you have the albums don't bother. But if you don't, and want an intro to the excellent early days of Genesis including recordings of some of their best known songs (tracks 1, 4 and 6 are some of their best work) then don't overlook this bargain introduction before doing yourself a favour and getting hold of the full recordings.
