Description
Although this material is now available on the superior greatest hits compilation its just good to hear it in this setting. California Girls is like Dave wrote it and Just a gigolo/i ain't got nobody is pretty special. Dave manages to create a character throughout the E.P. that its hard not to feel a kinship with. After listening to the disc a few times its hard to imagine anyone else doing the songs here any better. This is also Dave at his most laid-back. The emphasis is on fun in a greater degree than his later recordings (or some van Halen stuff!!). This is a classic CD and deserves a placemore…
