Xcel’s soundtrack is deep but not indulgent, and Gab’s flow remains as breathtakingly sharp as it ever was. It might be a long way from the rawness of their groundbreaking Melodica EP (1995) but The Craft demonstrates how it’s possible to be perfectly accessible while remaining creatively untouchable.
