Description
You can't fault these Canadian youngsters for ambition. In the space of a few years, they transformed themselves from a straightforward political punk band into a highly technical metalcore act, and the product is a three-part concept album of very high quality.
The standard of instrumental playing is high throughout, although the production sometimes means the bass is a little hard to hear, but it's the vocals (almost all clean) which set PtH aside from the rest of their genre. The most striking case is the sing along passage at the end of 'Turn Soonest to the Sea' - for me at least, thismore…
