6 years later and their music is still being pinched. It just goes to show that people really don't know what's good for them. Fluke have been round for ages, not that anybody would know. The only time people would have heard Fluke is being nailed to the back of their cinema seat in the middle of some action epic. From the same school of music as the Chems, the Prodigy, Orbital and the Crystal Method, Fluke seem to have shunned the limelight of, quite frankly, being the best and the one consistent element of electronic music today. People in the industry, music and film, know and love Fluke formore… the atmosphere they create. Their music is completely uncompromising with pauses for breath being a rare but beautiful thing. Every track here has a cohesive element here. They are pretty all as good as each other. The time when my hair truly stood on end was the final track. Usually the final slot is taken by a slower, more introspective piece. Not here. Its like a messenger heralding armageddon, but much, much worse. Exciting is not the word for this album. I think the first track title sums up the album. A defining piece of British electronica that will be totally ignored and there is nothing we can do about it.
