Biffy Clyro are quite simply, something special, their music is unique and as much as people will try and shove it into a particular genre or pigeon hole, it can't be done.This new single is an excellent display of their variety. The first a-side, Joy.Discovery.Invention is a pleasure, the opening track of the album, Blackened Sky, it is classic Biffy. Quiet verses and a build-up to a loud chorus, with terrific lyrics, great riffs and funny time changes, complete with the signature vocals and plinky-plonky guitars. The second a-side, Toys, Toys, Toys, Choke, Toys, Toys, Toys. IS the best Biffymore… song yet, it is powerful, loud and shows off the maturing sound of Biffy perfectly. This single is just a glimpse of what is to come, and is definately worth the money.
