Description
Due to the strength of some of Fairport's earlier releases, this Folk-Concept album is often overlooked. Now repackaged and remastered it's now a far better product (as the original CD release was very sloppily done). The full story is now fully detailed adding an extra dimension to the story the band are telling. The story is of John Lee, a suspected murderer who beats the Hangman's noose, it is a true folk story from the late 19th Century. The music is what we've come to expect from a post-Thompson Fairport with lots of fiddle and intresting vocal style from the great Dave Swarbrick.Not theremore…
