To quote one of Gilbert's earlier songs: "Every song has its play". Well, I thought that this singer/song writer had actually had his day. I grew up listening to Gilbert's music. It is an extension of my life! I love everything he has done so this new album was received with mixed emotions at first!When I first heard it, I though he was just trying to catch a wave of the new genre of music out there, and failing to provide the all too familiar Gilbert sound & style that we all have come to know. But an further hearings I was surprised at how quickly it grew on me! As usual, there is an awful lotmore… of very cleverly written lyrics, but this is inter-woven with Gilbert's mastery and skill of producing tunes that immediately catch your inner consciousness, so that you are humming or whistling along well before you actually know the words!Cool stuff. If you do buy it, don't despair after the first listen. Keep pressing on and you'll be in for an excellent surprise. Even my 16 yr. old son want's the CD for his DJ collection for the track "Say Goodbye".Memorable tracks: "Where the Hell have you been", "Say Goodbye", "Don't I know It", "Water Music" (check it out...the only music is sampled splashes and plops!)
