I think that Dexter was on top form in the early sixties. He made 4 albums for Blue Note at that time which in my opinion were his best work, these are: A swinging affair, Dexter calling, Doin alright and Go. A swinging affair has his best ever ballad-Dont explain. If you are a Dexter fan you must have all these albums.
