Description
The euphoric Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up) serves as an introduction to Florence Welch and her cohorts, and features an undulating harp and keyboards underpinned by a relentless, almost tribal rhythm. The subject matter is seemingly autobiographical: an apprehensive girl moving from relative obscurity into the limelight, where the sacrifice in question constitutes giving up part of herself - "this is a gift, it comes with a price", to fulfil her obvious talents. The strength of this effort whets the appetite for Lungs, the forthcoming debut album.
