When I moved to Germany, my brother told me I needed to find this album for him. After finding it after a long search, and before mailing it back to the States for him, I decided I needed to see what the big deal was.Wow, was I amazed. Although Dune was originally a German Techno band on the heavier side of the musically scale, you would never guess that by this album. What you have here are several tunes by Queen, Phil Collins, Prince (or the Artist Formerly Known as Prince), Allison Moyet, and Howard Jones, as well as some original compositions. Often the cover version of a song is nevermore… as good as the original, but this is not the case with Dune's Forever. Their versions are as good, if not better in a couple cases, than the original. The vocals of Verena Von Strenge are beautifully matched with the London Session Orchestra to create an album worth owning. It works well for playing in the office, while relaxing at home, or for anytime you are looking for some fully orchestral music with a talented, beautiful voice to go with it. By the way, I bought a second copy of the disc to keep, after sending my brother his.
