Let's TAP is a simple concept that works, and it is a lot of fun in the process. The game uses your Wiimote as a motion detection device, which you place on a box or some similar object. I used the game case and it worked just fine, but I'm sure there are a variety of other things you can use. As you tap, the vibrations you make shake the controller, which is how the game detects you're tapping. While all the games use this, you can fortunately navigate the menus regularly by picking up the controller or just tap to navigate through them.

The game has 5 modes, all of which are described exactlymore… in the product description. Rhythm Tap is my favorite of the bunch with a decent selection of mostly dance/electronic. While you won't find any recognizable songs in that mode, the selection doesn't disappoint if you like music games. Visualizer is confusing, it seems more for relaxation than an actual game. In that mode, the intensity and pattern of your tapping causes objects to appear when you trigger them. Which is fun to watch as you figure it out, just not something I feel is worth spending a lot of time with.

I think the major obstacle with this game is the concept which is hard to sell when you explain it to others. If the idea of tapping to play sounds pretty foolish, you might find it hard getting into this sort of game. However if you like to try new things, you'll pleasantly be surprised with the mechanics. This game is definitely one you can come back to over and over again for some quick fun. Even though it says "party experience" on the cover, it's still enjoyable as a one player game from what I experienced.

I can't say Let's TAP is the best game out there for the Wii, but it definitely stands out as a solid entry. Especially in comparison to a lot of the other casual party games for the system.
