Debut albums are no easy task, especially not if you're a solo MC who hasn't made a name for him/herself with a breakthrough collective before. Case in point: even if Defari is a member of the highly respected Likwit Crew (Tha Alkaholiks, Xzibit,...), we didn't get to hear much from him during the years prior to the release of his debut in 1998.
